On Air Workshop 6-9 July

The workshop is 4 days long, with 2 days of Screen and TV production, 1 day Journalism and 1 day of Radio. It gives potential students a hands-on experience at the New Zealand Broadcasting School and gives a head start when applying to study with the NZ Broadcasting School. Gain an insight into whether this is the career you want by working in a genuine radio, journalism and television production setting. Those interested in Screen & TV Production can try a range of roles like floor managing, directing, camera operation, sound and lighting. The aspiring disc jockeys will spend time in the radio studios, have a go at announcing or programming and explore the other great opportunities a career in radio can offer. The wannabe reporters spend the day with an experienced journalist who takes them through interviewing skills, writing, storytelling and photography.

Event Location: New Zealand Broadcasting School, Ara

Dates: July 6 – July 9th from 9am -3pm daily

Cost: $500.00 per person

Priority is given to Year 13 students and Year 12 will be waitlisted. Year 13 can apply at the CBHS Careers office for funding for this course.
