Being a Bedean is a gift for life and doesn’t end when you leave our gates. Our Old Boys’ Association continues a proud tradition of connection and support for their fellow Bedeans, creating a sense of community that reaches across the country and the world.

Welcome to our Old Boys

From SBCOBA President, Matt Ioane.

A proud old boy myself, I attended St Bede’s from 94-98, including two memorable years on the 1st XV rugby team and moments that have instilled lifelong pride. As a Board of Trustees member and a father of two Bedeans – one a recent graduate and one just starting his journey – I’m deeply committed to strengthening the connections between old boys and supporting the school community.

I am honoured to be leading a strong committee of dedicated old boys, focused on the following goals:

Supporting St Bede’s in educating young men of character
Fostering lifelong friendships
Building networks and giving back to the college
Ensuring effective and sustainable operations

I encourage you to get involved in some of our events and stay in touch with your “men of fellowship”. There are so many great opportunities to reconnect, celebrate our heritage, and strengthen our bonds. Let’s ensure that the connections and friendships among old boys continue to grow and thrive.

Bedean Archives

From the very first edition in 1923 through to now, the Bedean magazines have chronicled our history.

We have now been able to digitise every Bedean magazine from over the years, making them accessible for old boys and their families to enjoy. Every Bedean is searchable, so you can easily find your name, or those of past family and friends.

Membership

Support our vibrant community, and help us organise great events for past and present Bedeans.

With the choice of an annual fee, or one off lifelong membership, we have a subscription option to suit. You membership fee and contribution enables us to run our reunions and after 5 networking events, as well as help fund our traditional events for current students like Career Days, New Entrants’ Day and the Leavers Breakfast.

Please note that old boys who attended after 2014 have their membership paid through the fees process, so are already a lifetime member.
