* the Senior A team play in the Thompson Trophy inter-schools competition on a Tuesday evening
* two Under 17 teams that play in the CBA under 17 competition on a Saturday morning
* Checkers-St Bede’s Under 20 team playing in the CBA club competition on a Saturday afternoon
In will addition, the College has a large number of boys who play in the Friday evening CBA social league.
St Bede’s also sends teams to the Junior and Senior High School tournaments each year.
Basketball is played April to September and trainings for each team generally occurs twice a week. Senior boys are also expected to attend additional fitness and shooting sessions to improve overall fitness levels.
We warmly welcome all new players. There are some coaching and managing positions available and we rely on parents and volunteers to help us out, so if you can contribute in any way we would welcome your assistance.
The Basketball Club committee meet monthly. We welcome anyone interested in assisting in any capacity. Details of meetings are posted on the Club Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SBCBasketballClub/
The AGM is open to all, see the school newsletter for full details. Our club abides by the St Bede’s College code of conduct and all players must be registered, fully paid up and wear the uniform for all games.
