Y12 Retreat Parents’ Night in the PAC at 7pm
Presented by Mr Brendan Malone who is running the Retreat for your sons. He will present to you the topics he will cover with your sons. Hopefully this will lead to follow up from you at home as well as in the classroom at school. Brendan is a very experienced speaker and will talk to the boys about what makes a good man, being a good man, the media’s view on what is a good man and the detrimental effects of pornography. This presentation is guaranteed by the College to be informative and helpful. Our wonderful PTA will provide supper that night.

Y12 Retreats, Blue Skies, Kaiapoi, on 29th May and
Group 1, on Wednesday, is the classes of Mr Entwistle, Mr Ven and Mrs Pitcaithly. Thursday’s Retreat involves the classes of Mr Malone, Mr Bryce and Ms Festa. An information sheet will be emailed home at the start of next week but the boys will need to be at school at 8.30am on the day of their Retreat and will be back at St Bede’s by 4.30pm.

2014 Enrolments Close
Timeline towards 2014:
• End of Term 1 – Prospectus sent out to all pre enrolled students, also available at the school from the beginning of Term 2.
• Open Day Wednesday 15th May 9am – 12noon (the prospectus including application form will be available)
• Open Evening (parents only) Wednesday 15th May at 7.30pm in the St Bede's College Performing Arts Centre (PAC)
• Applications for enrolments of day students close at 4pm on 6th June 2013. (Late applications will be considered if places are available.) • Notification of acceptance will be mailed by the end of Term 2. • Interviews and the common entrance assessment test (CEAT) will be held in Term 3 once we have written notification that you have accepted your son’s offer of place and have paid the Term 1 2014 attendance dues. • Boarding positions may follow a slightly different timeline than day boys where it is preferable to interview boys prior to offer of a place to ensure their suitability to boarding.
