Mark Ealey is the Director of the ESOL Rugby Programme. He has lived, played rugby and coached in Sapporo, Japan, for 12 years. He is a fluent speaker of Japanese and works as an interpreter for numerous Japanese high schools, universities, corporate and national rugby teams. In his role as a translator he has published six books.
Mark was responsible for setting up the programme and is committed to its continued success. Commenting, he said, “The ESOL programme provides benefits for all and is unique in Canterbury.”
