Dance 2010
St Bede’s PTA 50th Celebration Dance
Our dance was held on Saturday 26 June and was a great success with just over 160 attending. The evening started with the All Blacks vs Wales live and was followed by supper and a dance, with the band for the evening “The Vivas” keeping the crowd entertained through until 1am.
We have a long list of people to thank. Firstly thanks to Chris Ellis, one of our dads, who organised the sky set-up and ran the first part of the evening. Thank you also to Mr Mullen and his year 9 Art students for providing us with a magnificent banner for the stage as a back-drop for the band. Thank you to our girls who ran the bar, served the supper and did a great clean-up job so that we could relax and enjoy the evening. Thank you to Tina McKay from the school development office that provided us with all sorts of help and advice. Thank you to the ladies in the school office for handling ticket sales and also to the many other teachers and staff who were there to help in any way they could and thank you to the boys who offered to, and then helped us set up the tables and chairs in the hall on Friday afternoon.
Barbara Emerins and Cathy Griffin cut the
PTA 50th Cake.
But most of all a big thanks to you, the St Bede’s Community. Without your support there would not have been a dance, so once again a big thanks to those of you out there who attended. See you all, and more, at the next one!
