Yr 9 Digitech
In this introductory course the focus will be on developing skills and awareness of the three strands of the Technology Curriculum as outlined above.
Students will gain a basic understanding of:
- Operating systems and file management procedures
- Photoshop Elements for image manipulation
- Simple graphic design and word processing features, using MS Publisher and/or MS Word
- Creating a slideshow presentation using MS PowerPoint
- Following the design process to provide a solution to a given problem
This is a practical, hands-on course which will introduce students to the concepts and processes of technological practice. This trimester course is compulsory for all Year 9 students.
