Yr 9 Design Technology
In this compulsory trimester subject, students will complete units of work on:
- Structures – explore bridge and building construction theories. Design and build a bridge to practice and test this learning.
- Electronics – learn about components and circuits. Model circuits on a computer and build an electronic circuit to practice this learning.
During the trimester students will develop drawing and graphic communication skills and gain technological knowledge and understanding from assignments they complete for homework. They will also develop awareness of the effects technology has on society.
There will be material costs associated with this course.
