Social Studies

Social Studies aims to enable Year 9 & 10 students to participate in a changing society as informed, confident and responsible citizens.

The course for the students includes learning of: our heritage, the importance of the environment,  how change occurs over time, the ways of managing resources, and how society organises itself. Students will engage critically with societal issues.  They will gain knowledge, skills and experience that help them to understand, participate in and contribute to the communities they live and work.
