Historical Reasons for Conflict
This course will investigate the historical importance of warfare and how this has shaped the modern way of life. We will investigate the main reasons historically used for conflict. Each reason will be covered in a case study of one major period of conflict, beginning with the classical age to the modern age. The course will cover the physical setting of the conflicts and learn how geography influenced the outcome of the battle or conflict. The course will also investigate the progression of technology in warfare and how this has influenced our current society.
