This course is a combination at level 2 Accounting and Economics standards.
Achievement Objectives
Students will be able to:
- Explore issues through the definition and description of economic concepts and terms and the processing and interpretation of statistical data in relation to these issues.
- Investigate, using primary data, a current economic issue including describing the purpose of the investigation, gathering, presenting, processing, analysing and interpreting the data to make generalisations consistent with the purpose.
- Demonstrate an understanding of accounting subsystems through the description and analysis of the sub systems.
- Prepare and use an investigative tool to collect information and prepare a report on accounting subsystems.
- Process financial transactions using computer soft ware for a sole proprietor registered for GST on an invoice basis.
