Yr 13 Agriculture / Horticulture
A one year course, focusing on the management of plant and animal production techniques to meet market requirements. Students will study in depth the production, processing, marketing and distribution of two products, one locally significant and one nationally significant. There is no prerequisite for this course
Achievement Objectives
On completion of the course a student can:
- Undertake an investigation into an extended research project
- Research the aspects of producing a primary product and its marketing
- Relate the attributes of primary products to market opportunities
- Explain manipulations relating to the production of a primary product
- Describe the effects on the environment of primary production
