Yr 10 Spanish
This course builds on the skills developed at Year 9. The course focuses on communication in Spanish in all areas of speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Cultural aspects are also covered throughout the course. It is essential that students wishing to study Spanish at NCEA take the course at Year 10.
Achievement Objectives
Students will be able to :
- Speak a range of words and phrases with increasingly accurate pronunciation and intonation
- Initiate and respond appropriately in brief conversation
- Recognise and read simple Spanish texts with increasing understanding
- Write a range of words, phrases and simple sentences with increasingly accurate spelling and punctuation
- Listen and understand longer pieces of dialogue.
