Yr 13 General English
This is a Level 3 course made up of a combination of Level Three Achievement and Unit Standards. As well as teaching a wide range of highly valuable subject skills, the course also provides students with the opportunity to earn the literacy credits that they did not acquire at Year 12.
First and foremost this course is intended as a serious study of language and literature and it is a requirement of the course that you complete all required reading within the time frames given. Great care has been taken to select texts for this course that are both interesting and worthy of in-depth analysis. It is in your interests to approach these texts seriously and with maturity.
