Yr 13 Physical Education
The aim of the Yr 13 PE course is to provide students with opportunities to learn and apply advanced concepts of sport science and leadership principles through movement.
Prerequisites for Year 13 Physical Education are: Achievement Standards 90433 and 90434 plus 5 other credits in Level 2 NCEA Physical Education, or 16 credits achieved in Level 2 NCEA Science. Plus 12 credits achieved in Level 2 NCEA English.
Year 13 Physical Education is suitable for students who meet the pre-requisites and would like a career in health science, (physiotherapy, occupational therapy), the outdoors (D.O.C. worker, guide) or in Physical Education (personal trainer, coach, gym instructor).

In 2010 there is the possibility of using sea kayaking/tramping/bushcraft as a practical activity to teach aspects of that course.
Additional notes:
There will be an additional cost with this course (approx $200.00). Plus costs associated with sea kayaking in Anakiwa.
