Yr 10 Health & PE
The aim of the junior physical education programme is to use movement and physical activity to provide students with the knowledge and skills that help them to participate in and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.
The units of work taught in Y10 Core Physical Education are context based. Physical and interpersonal skills, as well as the role that physical activity plays in contributing to the students’ health are taught in various contexts such as;
Y10
- Getting ready for multi-sport – the benefits of physical activity on the body systems and the role of nutrition in fuelling the body.
- Getting the most out of your volleyball game
- Learning and applying biomechanics to help improve the students volleyball skills.
Additional notes:
- St. Bede’s College Physical Education uniform is required – purchased as part of stationery order at the start of the Year 9 year.
- Student work books also required – approx $5.
