Gateway
Gateway is a government initiative to offer work place learning opportunities for secondary school students.
Students are placed in the industry of their choice over a period of time – one day a week over 2 terms – and have the opportunity to gain vocational skills in the workplace where students are assessed based on INDUSTRY UNIT STANDARDS.
St. Bede’s College has 20 places available in Gateway 2010 and interested students need to see Mr Hall or Mr Hooper to register.
Students may also be expected to enroll for a number of the transition unit standards working towards the National Certificate of Employment Skills.
