Vocational Courses
Vocational courses are available to Year 12 and 13 students involving unit standards. These selective courses are offered by the CPIT and give students the opportunity to gain qualifications towards careers in food technology, and automotive/metal trades. Students taking this path will only attend school for four and a half days and spend the rest of the time with their respective provider. Participating in these courses will not interrupt the rest of the school programme. Students must enroll in a full school programme.
All courses will be assessed by unit standards which will contribute credits to both the appropriate National Certificate and NCEA.
Student Expectations
Students will need to apply for entry into these courses and are expected to meet course requirements in all of their subjects, be present and punctual and display appropriate behaviour at all times.
