Athletics

School athletics sports will take place on Tuesday 15^th February and Thurdsay 17^th February 2011, with a back-up date of Friday 18^th February. The sports are compulsory for all students and they are encouraged to compete in as many events as possible for house points. Qualification for finals on the Thursday is based on performance in the preliminary events. This is a great day for students, staff and parents.

• Required Uniform House coloured top, PE shorts and school tracksuit

The Canterbury Secondary School Athletic Sports are held on Tuesday the 15^th of March for the preliminary events and the finals are held on the Saturday the 19^th of March 2011. Entry into the Canterbury Championships is based on performances at the School Championships.

• Required uniform School athletics top (provided), PE shorts and school tracksuit

The South Island Secondary School Championships will be held on the 2 – 3^rd of April 2011 at QE11 Park, Christchurch. The National Secondary School Championships are held in December with details to be advised.
