Y10 Supports Earthquake Cleanup
Year 10 classes are taking a day out in the Eastern suburbs to help clean up the silt that has again surfaced as a result of the June 13 Earthquakes. In past years this cohort has undertaken community service later in the year by helping out at a local Catholic Primary School for the day, however it was decided this year that the Earthquake cause would benefit more greatly from the service. Each class has been allocated a different day and are being transported by their teachers in school vans along with gumboots, shovels and wheelbarrows. We have already had positive feedback via our school facebook page from Michelle Tom of Linkwater Drive:
“I just want to say a huge thank you to the large group of enthusiastic young men from St Bede’s who cleared our driveway in Linkwater Way of silt this morning. Your efforts were very much appreciated and you should be proud of the way you conducted yourselves. Just awesome
