New Enrolment Scheme for St Bede’s

In order to deal with a situation where the College has, or is likely to have, more applicants for enrolment than there are places available, the board of St Bede’s College has adopted an enrolment scheme which has been approved by the Ministry of Education.
Under this scheme, first priority on enrolment places will be given to preference students who wish to board and secondly for whom the school is reasonably convenient. A description of how “reasonably convenient” is defined is contained in the scheme.
The enrolment of non-preference students is governed by the school’s Integration Agreement.
The enrolment scheme, which includes a description of the criteria that will apply to the selection of students in situations where there are more applications than there are places available, may be viewed at the school where copies of the scheme are also available or alternatively on our website
The board invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at St Bede’s College for 2012. Application forms are available from the College rector@stbedes.school.nz or 375 1871 or alternatively at our Open Day on Wednesday May 4, 9am – 12pm
The board has determined that 160 places are likely to be available for enrolments next year. Under the school’s enrolment scheme, first priority for day boy places will be given to preference students for whom the school is reasonably convenient. If local parents who plan to enrol their child at the school next year announce their intention by the date given above, it will greatly assist the board to allocate other places fairly.
