CanTeen Thank You

As Mr Boyle has mentioned, Thursday’s assembly was an event that we will not forget.

The DVD put together by CanTeen by way of a thank you was poignant. Throughout the campaign we constantly talked about why we were undertaking such a task – for those teenagers living with cancer. To then see the faces of these teenagers personally thanking us and explaining what we have done to help them with their quality of life was humbling and there were few dry eyes in the hall. I believe that in those few moments all of us here at St Bede’s truly understood what it meant to live with cancer.

We also presented six prizes to boys who had fundraised exceptional amounts of money. They were as follows –

As CanTeen ‘Run For A Life’ 2009 draws to a close, I would once again like to thank all of you in the wider Bedean community for your continued support. It has been a wonderfully humbling experience, an experience that would not have been possible without your help.
