Cross Country Secondary School Nationals

After months of training for the National Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships the St Bede’s College Squad has shown the fruits of their efforts. In balmy conditions in Nelson we took on the countries best runners. Great runs by our yr 9 team in their first year at the event places us in good stead for future years.

The junior team all raced very well and were unlucky not to pick up the 3 person teams event eventually finishing 3rd. They did however become the New Zealand Secondary School Champions in the 6 person teams’ event with 200 points, 30 points clear of the next team. This is a fantastic result from all involved and is a just reward for the dedication and effort that the team and coach have shown.
